How many ZL1 to be produced in first year?

I agree with hognutz on the 1200-1500 because I heard, as someone else mentioned, that they were building 1800 for the year. Minus the 600 being pushed to next year would be 1200.

But another theory is that there have been 2 consensus periods with a third to follow. It seems as though they pull between 500-600 each consensus. This would put us at 1500-1800.

So my final guesstimate is between 1200-1800. Yeah, it's like that...

As I recall reading here sometime ago it was mentioned Oshawa is a flex line between several models, four as I recall. One build week a month was scheduled for the ZL1, and don't forget the ZL1 convertible will be made in 2013 as well. If someone has solid information to update us about the builds please do so. Otherwise, roll the dice, ...stayed tuned, same ZL1 time, same ZL1 channel...

There were 480 built initially before production stopped. I read somewhere that there were another 1100 orders out of which 600 were pulled to become 13MY. Therefore I would guess 480+500=980 for 2012MY.

I read somewhere that dealers will be confirmed remaining 2012 allocations on April 11 but did not see anything yet.

I figure 600 MY carryovers, 1000 rag tops, and maybe 1000 additional coupes........for a total MY of about 2500?.......

This is the best estimate I have seen. There were ~480 built through second consensus. I read (GM publication) they were going to build ~500 more, moving others to 2013. The current build constraints for May show 0% ZL1 (none to be built in May). Two weeks left in April. MY13 starts 7 June 2012, so it all adds up. ~980 2012 ZL1s.
