May 2009 Production #'s for Camaro & total produced to date

Looks like GM is making some money so far on the Camaro. you figure may's numbers x 20,000 dollars = 136+ million.... Probably the only thing that GM is actually making money on right now.. Hopefully it keeps going.

Alot of May production numbers haven't been delivered yet? That tells me they started uping production towards the end of may.

Not sure about anyone else but this is why my car was in QC for 6 weeks.

Ordered 10/13/08.
Order pulled 12/2?/08 (can't remember exact day).
Produced 3/24/09.

6 weeks at 4B00.
I was even invoiced during 4B00 and GOT the financing in place.
Car delivered 5/19/09. Off truck at 11:00, in my garage by 5:00.

PROBLEMS REPORTED FIXED (On paperwork recieved with car):
Drivers side front ralley stripe - Peeling
Drivers side front ralley stripe - Creased
Both listed as supplier problem
Battery cable - Shorted - Recall

As you can see it went back to the stripping facility twice!

Also, my friends SS was fixed in Pontiac Michigan according to the paperwork.

As far as waiting - I was Pi$$ed.
Now - WOW, am I glad I didnt cancel my order.

Its worth the wait!

No, No they are not. Ordered 10/20, and still no word on it being built. You'd think being in the first 1/2 of orders I'd be in the first 1/2 of those built, guess not

i would expect 6-7K to sell in June, which is almost as much as the entire caddy division at 8000 sales in may.

Every dealer received 1 CAMARO LT to display on the first day of the national unveiling event!
My Rally Yellow 2SS CAMARO was ordered November 11, 2008, produced March 23, shipped March 30 and delivered to the dealer April 27, 2009.
The 713th car off the production line.
The dealer's display car had a lower serial number, (100534) and was delivered 8 days after my car!

From the very beginning, every correspondence from GM stated:
Customers ordering cars on the first day of production (October, 13, 2008) or those being the first to order from a dealership doesn't guarantee an earlier delivery date than subsequently ordered vehicles.
IE: My SS was the second car ordered from my selling dealer; I received my car one month before the other buyer's car arrived.
His serial #100329; my serial #100713.
EXPLAIN THAT ONE!
