How to talk dealers down, have to find a 2LT for 30k.

I have to find a dealership within a few hours of Columbia,TN that has a 2LT for around/under 30K. The only one I have found is a Summit White one (I don't do white vehicles, no offense).

I want either AGM, CGM, Black, or Victory Red.

I have found a couple for around 32 AFTER my fathers discount.. But he is being strict on the 30k limit. Please help me find my ride!!

negotiate the price BEFORE mentioning the discount. get them to give you the absolute rock bottom price, then inform them of the discount. don't discuss financing or anything until you get the price.

Depends on which discount your father gets. Some discounts act as a discounted price while others are rebates (USAA). If his discount is a pre determined price discount then you can try and get lower than that.

Well there are two forms of the employee discount. One is a preferred price (standard discount) but you can negotiate lower than that 90% of the time. The other is for direct employess so your dad would recieve this but I do not know if you would qualify but it's usually a $1,000 extra rebate on most vehicles.

You can do it without the RS package I think. You just have to sit there for a while and let them know how much you loan limit is. They will talk to managers and make calls. If they say it can't be done, tell them sorry, but you can't afford any more than that and to call you if they can make you a deal. Then go to another dealership and try again. You will then have a couple of them calling you to say they will make the numbers work for you. Just don't get suckered into adding extended warranty or 3rd party stuff, or high financing. If anything apply for a loan before you go so you know what APR a bank will give you directly

Where are the best places online to look for a Camaro that's not too far away..

I simply googled Middle Tennessee Chevrolet dealerships and looked at the inventory.

Employee Discount is a set price. You can not negotiate say Employee Discount -$1,000. Once you inform the salesman that you will use this discount you take all negotiations off the table.

Go here and build a car. It gives you both the MSRP and the Employee pricing which will give you an idea on what you can get. Remember dealers are able to go below this price if they don't know you have the discount. Only use the discount IF the Employee pricing is less then what they are willing to negotiate. http://prod3.gmautobuilder.com/Build...riceformula=EM

Another thing, if your absolute max is $30k and not $30k plus tax, tag, and title, leave about $2k extra when building a car and shopping to cover these. Unless you find a killer dealer, in order to stay under your price range, you'll be looking for a 2LT with M6 and no options.

Sticker price also has went up a lot. A 2lt starts at $30k now and the cost of options was went up. An identical car like yours has a sticker over $36k if you was to try and build it now.

I just got my 2013 AGM 2LT for $29,225, before any rebates, discounts, or private offers. With a $1,000 rebate and a $1,000 private offer, I paid $27,225. So I'd say you can definitely get one under 30k. Keep in mind that mine was for the standard 2LT with no additional features. And I'm from Virginia.

You should have no problem finding one for less than $30k sale price with preferred price, $1000 rebate and $1000 employee vehicle allowance. Ask your dealer to locate one for you. If they won't, then find another dealer that will. It's probably not going to have a sunroof or nav unless you're willing to get a manual transmission but you can get a 2LT automatic with rs package for around $29,350.
