High HP V8 does not equal muscle.

Historically adding a high V8 HP to a car that originally or in base form has no performance or handling pretentious is a Muscle car. Corvettes and Camaros were originally engineered for a basic level of performance.

Besides by your definition a Corvette is a Muscle car. It's not. It's a sports car.
