ZZP Coils

Anyone ever tried the ZZP coils?

I know everyone says just run the AC Delcos. That's fine. May end up doing that, but knowing that ZZP has put out some good stuff in general and these are 30% of the price of Delco, has me wondering.

I haven't, but I would consider them for that price if I needed a set.

ZZP is big in the Chevy Cruze/Sonic tuning and parts scene, and they use these coils for their LS7 coil conversion kits on the Ecotec 1.4 Turbo. I have a Cruze also and have spent quite a bit of time on that site, but I haven't bought anything from them as all my $$$ goes to the Camaro lol.

I’ve bought a few things from them but not the coils. What I have bought seems to be good quality. For that price it would probably be worth the gamble.

I had them on the car for about 2 months before the transmission broke. However, I also used to have one of the spark exciter modules, but it had gone bad. So, I really didn't notice any difference. IMHO, I think some of their claims would be seen always when switching from old coils to brand new ones. Since I run boost, with both stock and ZZP, I have to gap the plugs at 0.028 (whereas with the module I could run stock 0.035).
