You could put some forged boost ready pistons in there while it's apart. At your power level it would be pretty bullet proof unless you get the itch to go crazy adding boost.

If it were me PQ and your bores being ok. I'd either keep the crank and forge it (rods and pistons) and have ie Lethal, vengeance or proline build it or get the striker kit an sell your rotating assembly. Only if your block is good. Just my .2

But wouldn't I have to have the cylinders honed anyway?

He sent me the specs and costs. There are a few things I do not know what is but I have them and it's money saving mode now.

I assumed that SS was the street version?

You should have the cylinders honed no matter what to make sure the piston fitting is to spec.

I believe he meant a "stroker kit" just mispelled it!

Yes the SS is our "Street Series"

Any other questions sir?

You will have to disassemble it to put new bearings in.

Don't confuse honing and boring. Boring is when you enlarge the cylinder bore for bigger pistons. Honing is when you slightly rough up the cylinder walls with a cross hatch pattern. You likely don't need to bore the cylinders unless they are out of round, or are screwed up in some way.

Pretty sure he meant stroker kit.

Proline builds good motors! That's who built mine! But you have to go through vengeance to get it done! I do believe!!!

Jayrcr3 is exactly right, two completely different things. If the walls aren't scored or scratched you should still hone the block to make sure its cleaned up properly. If you go to a larger piston it will need to be bored and honed.

When you get the rotating assembly apart send me pics of everything so we can look it all over.

Hey aren't you the guy who did a cam swap and lost oil pressure? Did you end up rebuilding that same motor?

Vengeance did the cam and tune.

Livernois are my guys at this point whatever I decide. I might just disassemble it and order the stroker kit. The stock crank is good for I think 900 HP iirc. Forged stroker kit and a new valv train with worked heads might be the ticket. I've heard tale that the Maggie with a 419 might be too slow. I'll list my options soon.

I have 3 options at this point. Maybe 4.
