Can you hear any sound from your CAI?

I have a G5CR CAI and I can't hear anything from the CAI as I was hoping to. I've talked to others that have a CAI installed and they can hear the air going into the CAI on hard acceleration. Are there any specific brands of CAI that create some sound that can be heard inside the car?

You mean like a whistling? My '05 magnum w/ a 5.7 HEMI equipped with an AIRAID intake and throttle body spacer definitely made this sound. My Camaro, not as much. Not sure if its the brand of intake that will change the sound on it..

You can hear the "Whoosh" of our CAI when under WOT or when getting punchy with the gas pedal, normal driving and idle you cant really hear it. Many also say that their exhaust sounds a little throatier after the installation of our CAI. I hope that helps.

This has been my experience with your CAI on my SS with a Corsa catback.........it sounds awesome need to add I do have an ADM scoop also.

I had Airaid on a Silverado awhile back and it had a high pitched air sucking sound, the exhaust sound did not change though. Currently have a Airaid on my F150 Ecoboost, no sucking sound but the turbos really purr.

I have an Airaid and there was a very slight difference in sound. The growl of the engine seemed a little louder and deeper under full throttle acceleration. Nothing real noticeable or annoying.

I have the cold air inductions CAI and I can hear it easily when I tap the pedal and when I accelerate hard. Most friends are like damn dude I can hear the intake, sounds like a plane taking off

You can DEFINITELY hear a difference in the engine itself, it is much louder.

The first day I installed my CAI, I heard a "whoosh" sound from the engine, loved it.

Drove the car 2 days later and forgot the CAI was even in there, at WOT on a long open road my engine ROOOOOAAAAARRREEED.

It actually scared me for a sec, because my car was stock at the time besides a muffler delete.

Then I realized... "Hey wait, I have a CAI" hit the pedal again and mashed it. The engine again roared to life, it was incredible. I don't know if my brand being Cold Air Inductions with their sealed airbox made a difference.

Well worth the money. Enjoy!

I have the Vararam and it has more throaty sound when you get on it hard. Otherwise, I don't notice anything under normal driving.
