HPA Tuned ZL1 (not all tunes are created equal)

We had a very clean ZL1 that was just purchased a few days ago by a customer that contacted us wanting it checked over as it just didn't feel right to him. We did a base pull for him to see where the car was, and to see if we could experience what the customer was feeling. Needless to say it was very rich and had a lot of other issues in the tune. We swapped plugs and properly tuned the vehicle for our customer. Needless to say Huge gains were made in just a few hours.

Wow. Plugs and a tune for 160rwhp and 180rwt. I'm in!

Hopefully no damage was done to the engine prior to your tune.

Maybe the previous owner took aftermarket items off of the car before they sold it and didn't do anything with the tune.

Crazy. It looks like redline was set at 5500 in the original "tune"

I'm betting a reset to stock job?

Or maybe cracked plug?

We aren't to sure exactly what mods were on it prior or who tuned it before the customer bought it. The customer brought the car to us to do the tuning. We found it was running extremely rich on the baseline pull

Yes, very odd the baseline pull was stopped around 5500rpm....

Peak power on these cars don't usually happen until around 6000rpm.

The power curve of the baseline pull is awful to. What was smoothing set to on both pulls?

We stopped it because there was no need to pull it any further with what logging was showing. Smoothing was set to 5 and the car never left the dyno on the baseline pull to the final pulls.

There are tuners and there are tuners, you need to find a tuner that is the best, that can only be done by other guys who have had tunes and producing the perfect tune.
I had my LSA with cam, injectors, pulleys, intake and double springs.

I had it remotely tuned by a guy in Australia called Luis sola he does it via a link to your laptop, you will need a wide band connected in the Exhaust with EFI live, it is the only way you can get a perfect tune, this is my tune after Luis done his magic, he also has a Facebook page called LS tuning, it has a lovely curve and the AFR is perfect.
