If not, i'm hopping that by the beggining of 2010 things will change...just in time for the camaro here in europe

its not the tipping, its that they dont even care of your factory's credentials, they can't measure it, you don't get get it.
my honda guy payed 2 k Euro more at dealer for euro 5 car and ended up paying the euro 4 registration tax as well.
see top gear november , he ended in the magazine

exactly.
it's the same defensive jaguar put up in england.
a 100k car owner drives 25k km a year
while a small yaris comuter having to take kids from school, mother in law from hospital , or whatever would do an average of 100 k km a year.
so it's simple math: the cheaper car with half the emissions would end up putting out twice that much co2.

plus the distances and roads in europe being what they are , I don't expect to travel more than 10000 km a year, i live less than a mile from work , my parents or most my friends.

sooo...as far as the problem goes, the only options would be...to register the car in bulgaria or to hope that they will lower the tax. Either way i don't think i can pay 8000-9000 euro's just the registration:(

You could always move to America. I'm looking at just under 1,500 for tax, tag, and registration all combined.
