I'm guessing a certain sponsor cried like crazy because he lost his meal ticket! All Jamie did was tell the truth about his experience, he brought that shop crazy amounts of publicity & advertisement over the last few years, he would be in every thread recommending them & praising their abilities. They screwed up bigtime, not just with the car but by not taking care of him free of charge to make it right from the instant it happened. Just a guess on my part!

Not surprising since more car forums protect sponsors to no end.

Small update. Still waiting on a lot of parts to come in but we went over the heads.
It was decided to scrap the cylinder heads on the car. They were detonated pretty bad on a few chambers and about 1/2 had bad/worn valve guides. Since Jamie already had a full set of good exhaust valves and 1 intake valve we ordered a new set of intake valves to match. He sourced a set of good/used heads. These have been stock and the valve guides check out. Here are a few pics of the heads which are still in the cleaning process and the valves/springs ready to go. Hopefully in a few weeks we'll be putting the whole car together. Sorry about the blurry pic. This camera hates me sometimes. |

When I talked with him prior to the holiday, he said that he had been warned to watch what he says!

All I know is Jamie is in good hands now with Don and his crew, regardless if he is on this forum or not he's going to be able to enjoy his car again once it's done right!
