The AC of my wife's Titan was not very powerful, barely blowing, and the air was not very cold.

I replaced the cabin filters, and it immediately became this icy beast that would blow your hat off at setting "2," and threaten frostbite. The difference was not, "yeah... I think I can tell a difference," but was more like, "Holy %$&*!!! is that a @$!*ing ice hurricane on ?&#ing STEROIDS?!?!?"

Don't know specifically about the Camaro but some cabin filters have activated charcoal embedded to absorb odors and they have a dark look to them.

Thanks for the reminder that NOT changing your filter after 76,000 miles might mean that I am a bad man!

PalmerGA posted this link:

... and watching the video made it so easy that the actual job took less time than watching the sub- three- minute video.

After seeing this reminder thread, I rushed over to Kragen/ O'Reilly, slapped a 12 dollar bill onto the counter, and walked out with a clean version of the elderly and filthy one that was lurking under my hood, making my AC work nineteen times harder than it should have been. Here's a pic of my old vs. new... there was a lot of dirt, some bugs, a trilobite, and some more dirt.

Doing it today. PalmerGa: Thanks for the video- piece of cake.

Follow up: I go to my local Chevy dealer Monday for the cabin filter. They had them in stock @ $45.00 retail. $33.88 discounted- No thanks !
Went on line and after a short search I found them at $10.00, no shipping, no tax. Not AC/Delco but I don't care.
Just received it- Only 2 days from www.filterheads.com Their part #AQ1150.
I'll put it in tomorrow and let you know how it goes..
Just installed my cabin filter. Less than 10 minutes start to finish.

This is crazy. Because of this thread I went and changed my filter out (and bought one for my Moms Camaro while I was at it). Oddly enough, my filter had the exact same looking feather attached to it.

I also replaced mine because of this thread. It wasn't as bad as the OP but in need of a change.
