I got to drive one last week. It was a dealer car that was sold within first couple of hours of arrival. They told buyer they would hold it for 10 days and allow test drives and then he could have the car. He (or she) agreed.

Well folks.i drove an Lt yesterday at nu car in n c delaware.very nice. anyone who ordered an Lt should be very happy with it.awesome accelleration. the steering is incredably tight.it's glued to the road.the sales girl wouldn't let me run it hard .they're still breaking it in.but i did take 1 turn at a good clip .i could have taken it a lot harder i mean a lot.this car handles like a dream.any dealers who arn't letting people test drive them r crazy. people need to drive this thing.it's not like they're $100000.00 cars.i drove my charger before i bought it.and i paid more than what the Lt's are selling for.the only complaints i have is the paddle shift location and a little lag up shifting in manuel.other than that this car is awesome.i can't wait till my rjt 2 ss comes in.

Anybody get to test drive a dealer car yet?
The RY 2LT I drove was the dealer car from GM. It is also for sale if someone wants to buy a (by now) well used Camaro. I dunno how much longer they're going to be able to keep it stocked as "new" if they're putting about 100 miles on it per day..

I found one dealer that will let you test drive the LT2 BUT the kicker is they aren't looking for tire kickers that just want to drive a 5th gen you have to be someone thats going to be leaving with an order placed that day.
I guess I can't blame them. They also put the Camaro booklets in the back room because every dumb high school kid was coming into the dealer taking a few of them.

So far as I know, these cars only exist in photos on camaro5.com. I've still yet to see one, let alone think about driving one.

I test drove a VR 1LT/RS last Saturday and was VERY impressed. That V6 is smooth and Powerful. The SS must be a SCREAMER!

The dealer pulled it out of the showroom at 9. I was in the seat at 9:00:01! (Everybody was just looking at it in the sun!) He did tell me that a lot of people were coming by and driving it on the day before, and many of them were not serious, so they put it away. Just lookie-loos. I have been busting their butts for years now, so I was thrown the keys.

I think they sold 4 or 5 orders that day.

Test drove a 2Lt two days ago at Sir Walter Chevrolet in Raleigh, NC. He had just got it in the day before and sent me an email about it.

Supposedly they aren't going to sell it for a few weeks so it can be test driven by interested folks.

One sweet car. Said they would sell Camaro's at MSRP.

Sat in a pre-production 1LT at the local auto show in February. My dealer got his first one in today. I happened to be driving by, saw it, and almost killed 11 people doing a U-turn to get back to the dealership. The saleswoman was fairly knowledgable and let me drive it. I didn't drive it too hard but it was good to finally experience one. As many people have said, the car was very tight and quiet.

got to test drive the owner's personal 2SS/RS a week back (Delillo Chevrolet, Hunt Bch, CA) and fell in love immediately, had planned on ordering sometime later this year after
things had settled down a bit with GM, but after driving, i said f*&^ it, i'm in now.
she's a beaut, and now after driving...the wait is that much harder...once you get a taste it's like heroin man (not that i would know what that's about)

Well I stopped in at the dealer and it turns out the SS they have listed on their website isn't there yet, he said it was supposed to be there by now but its not. One of the guys said they had a silver one (I assume V6) and it sold within 15 mins. of it being there. I did get one of the Camaro brochure things, what they called "literature" on it, which is pretty cool. They also had two banners up, one that said "Take a tech drive" and then the half Bumblebee half silver V6 one. I saw another one on my way back but I didn't stop because my roommate said they won't even let you sit in it. I've sat in the black and white test one at Indy so I know what they sit like but I want to drive one haha.
