Doesn't a model 2011 would be made in Q2 of 2010, it always is, or not ??
Otherwise it would be a 2012 model.

I feel comfortable getting my 2010 camaro, and the 2011 is probably going to be good too, but I don't know how much faith I have in GM in the coming years. Here's an excerpt from an article (http://online.wsj.com/article/SB124381203054570397.html) that talks about government run auto companies:

"Automobile manufacturing and government do not mix in capitalist countries either. In the spring of 1978 Ceausescu appointed me chief of his Presidential House, a new position supposed to be similar to that of the White House chief of staff. To go with it he gave me a big Jaguar car. That Jaguar, which at the time had been produced in a government-run British factory, was so bad that it spent more time in the garage being repaired than it did on the road.

"Apart from some Russian factories in Gorky, Jaguars were the worst," Ford executive Bill Hayden stated when Ford bought the nationalized British car maker in 1988. How did the famous Jaguar, one of the most prestigious cars in the world, become a joke?

In 1945, the British voters, tired of four years of war, kicked out Winston Churchill and elected a leftist parliament led by Labour's Clement Attlee. Attlee nationalized the automobile, trucking and coal industries, as well as communication facilities, civil aviation, electricity and steel. Britain was already saddled by crushing war debts. Now it was sapped of economic vigor. The old empire quickly passed into history. It would take decades until Margaret Thatcher's privatization reforms restored Britain's place among the world's top-tier economies."

I believe it's very possible for GM to go the same way Jaguar did. I'm sorry if it's a bit off topic but when I think of the 2011 vert I think of GM's future, especially on the same day they release info on their concept "bare necessities" car and truck.

I can't wait to get a 2010 Camaro, but I can't have one until next year. If you really want a Vert I would wait for it. What's 1.5 years? It will fly by. Just my 2 cents.

If you want and you can only drive a vert then wait the "2" years. I say 2 years because like everyone else has noticed the 2010 was developed in 2005 and unveiled in 2006 and produced in 2009! I agree with most that if GM is still standing and is ALLOWED to produce this car in anything other than V6 then it may be more like 2013-2014, If production is still going strong. I am in no way sad that i got my 2010, i have had my share of t-top / vert camaro's and love me hardtop. Good Luck to those who are waiting; hope it all works out.

I would guess that there will be some changes. It will be the 2nd or 3rd year of the current generation, so they will fix some of the issues and make some minor mods to appearance and/or options.

I would guess that the HUD will be included.

Sure would be nice if they decided to make the Z28 by then. I'd trade my 2010 in for a 2011 Z28 !

Well I'd be pissed if I was that guy who paid big $$ to make his Coupe a convertible Camaro.

...should've just waited.

Why does jalopnik say second quarter of next year. Typical jalopnik misinformation/miswording... At least one of their words is right (either headline or actual blurb)...
