Not a good survey if you're interested in tracking your car.

That survey was a joke.

Can't believe all the whining in here. At least GM is making an effort.

I think the survey reflects how most people will track the car. Drag racing is so much cheaper than road tracking. And to me just as much fun. I think most people serious about tracking will just get the 1LE and will mostly be changing out fluids, wheels, tires, brake pads, and add cooling if needed and possible.

I think Chevy is feeling us out if it will be profitable to offer as many power upgrade options as Ford does for Mustangs. This appeals more to drag racers than road racers. The 1LE is fast enough already for most trackers. And already too fast for some 1LE buyers.

There are very few people who have power modded CA6es. So my opinion is that will not be profitable.

For those wondering some of the questions.....

If Chevrolet were to offer the following parts, how likely would you be to purchase them directly from Chevrolet?

Small rear brake kit to clear smaller diameter wheel to allow for a sticky tire with more sidewall
Drag radial tires
Drag radial tires mounted on light weight racing wheels
Drive shaft safety loop
Heavy duty ZL1 half-shaft
Heavy duty ZL1 prop shaft
Severe duty IRS rear differential module
Lower geared rear differential module (bolt in)
Higher stall torque converter
Ported LT1 heads
Hot cam kit
Cold air induction
Performance exhaust system
Short throw shifter
Recaro racing seats
Stage kit (a package of induction parts and a high performance calibration for optimal power)
High octane (100 octane) calibration for off-highway drag racing use
Bolt-on supercharger kit with calibration
Headers (long tube or mid-length)
Suspension modifications (springs, MR tuning)
Change to front runner front wheels (narrow tire)
External tachometer
Shift light
