NGK spark Plugs

Just want to verify spark plugs with you guys.

I need to swap mine out on my AGP TT build.

NGK TR6IX is what I came up with part number 3689.

Can someone verify please?

That is correct for 6 series, 3690 for a 7 series if you are over 650rwhp I would run 7s.

Just booked a week in Banff in August. I've heard it is nice and that Canadians are pretty good people.

TR7IX FTW! I run those on my car, you will want them if you are serious about a TT setup.

7's for sure. I number colder plug for your TT setup.

You'll love Banff. As mentioned if you can travel the highway from there through the ice fields and up to Jasper don't pass it up.

If Calgary is on your radar you'll want to do the Cross Iron Mills mall and then a tour at Davenport Motorsports is only 15 minutes away from there.

With your dollar being much better Cross Iron Mills should be in your scope!

I'm not sure our exact plans besides cross the border and spend 3-4 days up in the Banff area. Wasn't going to do much more than that.

Agreed on -7 plugs.

Question.

When installing the new plugs I put Di-Electric grease on the wire side correct?

And then are you guys torquing the spark plugs down? How much?

My plugs are pre-gapped at .040. Is that good?

3690 for those #7 plugs? http://www.ngksparkplugs.ca/document...ge%20Chart.pdf

I got the #6 but I'd be foolish not to listen to the community.

And can someone confirm a gap and torque rating for me please

Just go snug, never torqued them.

I run mine around .030. You can try .040 but I would gap them down a little. .035 or so.

No antisieze on threads, and dieelectric on the wire. I just squeeze some into the wire before putting it on the plug.

I know this is an old thread, but I have to say I absolutely love Banff and Jasper... I've been 3 times. Lake Louis is beautiful too. It is the cleanest country on Earth if you ask me. Waterfalls everywhere you look, elk everywhere you look...
