Hi folks,

I drive a 2LT, which comes with the dino oil from the factory.

At 500 mi, changed the engine oil (kept dino oil in it), changed the transmission fluid, and changed the rear differential fluid.

At 1500 mi, changed the oil again, put in Mobil1 5w30.

Now at 3200 mi, about to change the oil again with Mobil1.

I've broken the engine in under load (per Darin, Motoman, etc).

My question is this:

What do I need to look at now, at 3200 miles, besides the fluids? The owner's manual says nothing about other service concerns, i.e. tightening exhaust bolts, suspension inspection / tightening etc, lubing the chassis (someone said the chassis on this does not need lubing due to sealed bearings ?), or any other things that need to be done.

What else needs maintenance?

What are you running in the tranny and diff in the way of fluids???

What qty did each take?

I took it to the dealership and they changed the oil / tranny / diff.

Mechanic said he used the stock fluids for tranny and diff.

why don't you just follow the schedule as per the owners manual? I am sure there was a whole lot of testing done that results in the schedule that is provided...

Why are you changing all those fluids so early on, man at this point you are just throwing money away. To answer your question, do nothing you are just being a little over-protective of this car I mean really changing transmission fluid and rear dif at 1500 miles equals crazy.

Your dealer was happy to see you coming. Don't worry about it, drive it and enjoy it.

oh, and make sure you flush out your washer fluid...might be dirty. I'd replace it with synthetic

peace of mind (or paranoia for some) can get expensive for sure.

IMO, I think you are good to go, just follow the manufacturer's recommended schedule from this point based on driving conditions. Good luck.

ill tell you what, at 3000 miles ill be changing all of my fluids, including my oil (first changed at 1400), diff, and tranny fluids. i think it would be a little more cost effective to do it yourself, but there will always be some break-in debris when mechanical parts are wearing on each other. nothing wrong with a little preventative maintenance when you are spending a lot on a car in the first place.

There are no lube points. It is a seald bearing system.
