Wife has talked me out of cam and tq converter with 3.73 rear gear, long tubes, etc.... She wants a quiet daily driver so she can listen to her tunes. Oh well.....more fun money for the Mustang. Don't you also have a 2011 GT? I could be mistaken. |

I live in Oregon and I can not wait to get out. I have been lucky with animals, the only deer I have ever hit was in a Chevy Aveo rental car . Took a racoon out with my Honda but no real damage. Moving to WA to avoid a lot of the crap around Oregon, especially the cinders.

Damn, Viper, sorry to hear of that. I am still considering buying a Challenger R/T somewhere in the future.....should I be concerned about fit/finish or reliability issues?

I didn't see him really mention any reliability issues. The repairs it seems were all due to road hazzards and such, which by the way could have occured with any car. This seems to be a financial move based on his statement of "but times and cash flow has dictated a change"

Why not get a base or lower model V6 Mustang or Camaro? Save on gas and still have a quickish car and the looks of a muscle car.

Hate to see you get rid of the Challenger. BTW, my fuel milage on my SRT-8 with the Hellion turbos is averaging 21.3 presently. The fuel milage actually increased after the turbos were installed and tuned. Go figure.

45,000 miles in 17 months is really doing some driving.
At least you got your use out of it. I have to agree with everyone else that it sounds like you would have been paying your deuctible no matter what you were driving. That being said, hope you enjoy your new car. They are really nice. |

I hit a raccoon with my old car and didnt even hurt it, almost the exact same conditions.
I support people getting the Challenger, just know the front end and front spoiler is quite fragile. And the only reason why I did not get a base Camaro or Mustang V6 is because I do kind of need 4 doors. |

I just have to ask...
48k miles in 17 months? Thats a lot of driving. I'm sure some will hammer you about the depreciation, but it sounds to me like you got your moneys worth. Repairs not included of course. Anyways, good luck with the new car dude.
