I am Old but very young at heart and it hard to pick a favorite, my three most favorite are my 1955 Chevy 2 Dr. Hardtop back in high school (chic magnet), my brand new 69 Camaro and of course my 2010 Camaro 2SS/RS VR. I have had my second 55 Chevy since 1984. Its all good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm 57 and while growing on Long Island in Islip my Dad was a car salesman. He used to bring home all the coolest cars like a SuperBee, Shelby GT 350, 69 Z28, 69 Corvette 454, and a host of others that would make me drool, and cause my addiction to cars.

I have had many cars but the ones that stand out are a 66 Galaxie 500 with Boss 302 (First car), 70 Monto Carlo, 77 Camaro, 77 Firebird with T-tops of course, 78 Silver Anniversary Corvette, 69 Mach 1, 65 Mustang GT Fastback (still own) and my 2011 Camaro.

To answer the original question from the OP, Yes time is going by too fast, but in 4 years I am retiring to play again and have fun building cars like when I was a kid. But it will be slower this time.

I have memories from almost every car I have owned, from racing stories to "the making of my first child". I had a 65 Impala SS that had a huge back seat when I was 17 and it was great for dating if you know what I mean!!! Many good memories in that car, I once got caught "parking" in a favorite spot with no cloths on. Lucky I had locked the doors before we started because the 3 drunks shined flash lights in on us and most likely would have opened the doors to mess with us. Every thing turned out OK, I just jumped in the front seat and fired up the car and drove off. Really don't have enough space to go through ALL my BEST MEMORIES but most of you my age know about the 70's fun we use to have!!!!

I had a 4th gen coupe, nothing fancy..Bright red. I drove her all over Atlanta, had a GREAT spring vacation where we drove down A1A by the beach in Florida..then moved to Chicago, drove all over Illinois, Indiana, Michigan. We had many great afternoons riding in the Midwest.

Moved back to Georgia and then one day, on the way home from work, she started stuttering and struggling. I drove her home and she got me to my driveway with just enough speed to roll into the carport. Laugh if you want, but I swear that car was determined to get me home. I knew then and there she was done. Engine was blown, so I traded her for a used Monte Carlo..

SO, soon as I saw and drove Ol' Blue, I had that same feeling I had when I had my 4th gen. I took her down that same route in Florida a couple of months after I bought her to relive that cruise by the beach..Now Ol' blue's giving me the same fun and joy her older sister gave me back then!!! I know one thing for sure, I won't be trading in Ol' Blue...

I'm probably one of the few young guys that will post in here. I'm 23 and I have great memories tied to my 442 from High School. Sadly my car has been in storage and rarely taken out because I didn't have time in college. Now being in the military I'm far away from her, but I'll always relive my good times in that car everytime I take her out.

I'm 44 and I'm sure most will find this funny but my 89 Cavalier Z24 has the best memories for me...first new car I ever had, bought and paid for by myself and had it for 10 years!

Main reason though...it was the car I had when I met my wife and just remember always going places in it together. First time we kissed was in that car on our way back from Indy's Hamburger in Biloxi MS!

So...no muscle car stories or hot rods or anything like that...simple Cavalier but holds the most memories as far as cars are concerned for me when looking back!

I am 42 and my first car at 17 was my graduation present a 71 chevelle malibu 350 light green with dark green interior but I later painted it with emeron black with gold metalflake paint. I had to sell it when me and my husband bought our first house because he sold his boat and I had to sell something of mine to help with the expense. I don't regret it but I did miss it until I got my camaro, now it's just a beautiful fun memory.

I'm 50 and I can't tell you all the good times I had in the two camaro's in my signature. The best thing they did for me is get me interested in mechanical stuff which now provides me with a great living.
Thank you Camaro's.

Of the 17 cars I've owned, and 40 years of driving, I would definitely say it's my old 1960 Austin-Healey Bugeye Sprite. I restored it myself, and it always brought a smile to my face every time I drove it.
Sadly, it was sacrificed for my Camaro. My son (in pic), now 21, loved it, too.

I'm 53 and I can honestly say with absolutely no reservations, it is my RubyCamaro! I love this car. I am having a blast! I am a totally different person. I'm giddy as a schoolgirl in love. I feel better about myself, more confident, even at age 53, sexier than I have ever felt in my life (and that is saying a lot!). I can't get enough information; I want to learn everything. I want everything Camaro related I can get. I love spending time on C5 interacting with Camaro comrads, getting together with Camaro enthusiasts, attending car shows, cruise-ins & events. I get a huge rush & extreme permagrin every time I drive her. I have wonderful memories already & plan to continue making them with this car for the rest of my life. OP, I am loving getting older! Yeah, stuff changes, but hang in there, the best is yet to come.
