Hey guys!

I am looking for auto racing gear stores around the GTA, but untill now I got nothing. I am mostly looking for helmets but my search over the internet came up with nothing under CAD$300 and after that I still had to pay shipping.

I did find some helmets on Ebay but most of them are for motorcycles, and in a good price from CAD$49.99 to CAD$54.99 plus free shipping. Does anyone here race their Camaro with motorcycle helmet on? The ones I saw are DOT approved, but do I have to have a SNELL rated to race here in ON?

This is on the advertise:
"These EVOS Helmets meet or exceed FMVSS-218 and DOT Safety Standards. Always check with Track, Circuit, Rally, or Event Administration for Helmet Safety Requirements. Some venues may require a SNELL rated helmet."

Where do you guys buy racing gear? Do you guys think is a good idea to race with a motorcycle helmet?

Hi Pedro, I use a Bell Sprint motorcycle helmet for both autocross and drag racing. It's DOT and Snell 2005 approved and I haven't run into any issues at any events this year.

If you're buying one now, look for one with the newer Snell 2010 rating.

The XXL size is for 62 cm head size right? I am looking for a 58 cm, medium or large. Will it be to much room left over? Do you think it will be uncomfortable while driving? Thank you very much.
