Trouble with shifter install
Currently in the process of installing hurst short throw shifter and I am not able to remove the cross pin from factory shift lever. Has anyone else had this issue? Or know a solution???
I've been trying for to remove this for about half an hour. Even tried prying it with a screw driver. It is not moving at all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Am I the only person who's ever had this problem?? All the videos and step by steps I have viewed, the pin just slides right out....

Make sure both pins on both sides are out. The below video is from hurst. They say you can tap the pin on the end to help start it, but do not maul it as you will have to reuse it. Good luck and let us know. http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=...=0&FORM=VDFSRV

Thanks. I had used that video and tried moving the shifter in all kinds of directions. I eventually resulted to tapping it out with a pry bar. Did not damage anything. Rest of install went smoothly.
