Still waiting to hear from my dealer. I don't think they even have the slightest idea how long it will be either...

New Camaro Recall - Ignition Switch System / Key Fob
If they were holding my car, I'd show up there with like detail spray and just start cleaning it. When they ask what your doing, just be like, I bought this car but you guys won't let me drive it, so I figured if at least keep it clean for myself.
Then ask them for a car cover to keep on it lol |

my dealership called today...theres a form i can sign that allows the car to be released to me without the key fix. then i have the option to do it when parts come in. they said i can pick it up tomorrow. hopefully it goes well. i know i was on my dealership to get answers and they said they were calling gm daily and finally got approval for this

So no more warranty repairs until I surrender my switchblade keys or sign an intergalactic, world wide indemnification to GM for all potential future disasters. If you don't sign the indemnification or surrender your switchblade keys your warranty is void. If you sign the indemnification and next owner suffers a loss due to knee hitting key you are personally liable for bent metal and blood claims which could be huge. Hmmmm???? Summary: Understand what the indemnity waiver really means before you sign it.
