NO HEAT

hey guy sorry if this is in the wrong spot ....but I have a 2010 2ss/rs.
that as of yesterday I noticed that I wasn't getting any heat coolent temp was normal 196-198. I checked the radiator and the little bottle on the side and both where full. please help not sure where to turn next.

Sound like it's in the control system if the rad level is full.

Could also be a clogged heater core.

Aren't there check valves in the hoses that run to the heater core? Maybe the inlet one is stuck?

Could be an actuator in one of the doors that opens and closes to let in cold vs hot air through the vents

How many miles? I would guess clogged heater core.

Most likely a bad made in China actuator that has stripped plastic gears .Did you hear a clicking/thumping noise coming from the dash B4 it stopped working ?

to be honest with you as with the clicking sound that I wouldn't know I play my music kinda loud in the car

Try setting you controls to heat fan on high , then disconnect you battery overnight then hook up you battery and drive the car and see if that wont reset it . it will have to come up to temp B4 you get heat .

Don't forget to check for a bad stat, easy to do. It could be stuck in a partially open position allowing constant flow so the water never has time to really heat up as needed.

here is an up date on my heating problem. I took it to the dealership and had them take a look at it and well the fix is a new heater box. the little flapper that opens and closes for the heat temp broke off the actuator and its not cheap.... 8-9 hour job 1500 bucks..

I'm guessing you have to remove the windshield to fix it? No matter how you slice it that's just bad engineering on GM's part.
