CLOCK AND DATE CHANGE

Today for the third time I had to set the date on my radio. It said 4/1/2010. This has happened 2 other times and once the clock was way off, like 7 hours.

My car was purchased in November and only has 750 miles on it.

Has anyone else had/heard of this?

Mine has been working fine. Was it always doing this to you since you got it? Did you install any mods (radio, radar detector etc?)

Is the battery up to full charge or did you just get out of storage

I got it out of storage around March 15th and have driven 375 miles since then so the battery is fine.. The first time was after I got it out of storage, that was when the date was way off and the clock was too. Then last week the date was 1 day off and I corrected it, and them today the clock was fine but the date was 2 days off.

I have not done any mods so I am baffled, guess it is time to make an appointment

There are about three other posts on this, the first I believe I started and there are hundreds of Camaros with the same problem. Mine was always off if I let the car sit for a few days but now I can drive it two days in a row and the third day will be off. This is still occuring because I went to two of my local dealers and they let me do a test. Out of seven new cars, they were all wrong three days later.

I had the same problem last week. The date wouldn't "stick." The same day I noticed this, my iPod would not work with the usb port anymore. The MMIM (PDIM) has gone bad according to my dealer. They have ordered that part for mine and should have it next week.

The date seemed to be fine after I reset it the second time, but my iPod still won't connect. There seem to be quite a few folks who have had similar issues with the radio. I'm sure GM will figure it out. (I hope!)

Did you add a Flux Capacitor to your car and go 88 mph?

Do you think that could have caused it? I thought as long as I stayed under 1.8 jigawats it would be OK

Had a similar problem after taking it out of storage. I changed the clock/date with the radio on, and would not take the change. Turned the radio off and did it, and seems fine now. Never did have any issue previously.

I think it was an April Fool's joke by GM.
