Pick your poison. They are all great cars.

They claim the hp bump is from the new hood scoops

At least Dodge has decent commercials. I’ve been asked if Chevy still made the Camaro when people ask me about my car. Maybe the dipshit “real people” ads can finally die the death they deserve.

“Oooh I was going to buy a Toyota or Honda for the better resale value, proven long term reliability, not to mention better dealers, but I saw some lady I don’t know see her mother for the first time in 5 years in an Equinox so I’m going to buy that one”.

Chevy should do an ad showing their SS and Zl1 drag cars followed by the Zl1 running the ring, closing the commercial of the Camaro driving down the road pulling into the driveway. This shows the GM claimed triple threat. Instead they show us the boring fake commercials looking like a Jeopardy show.

So your point is GM always sucks at commercials, therefore don’t expect better?

Maybe, But it's not an excuse on Why the Camaro current sales are Bad, because until 2015, sales were too Good, under the Same conditions (Not enough publicity)

What year was the Jeff Gordon Camaro commercial? I wasn’t highlighting sales, but how it’s fading to obscurity. More a comment on GM having terrible decision makers to go with this same stale marketing campaign for years.

I know Man, but you could see how well people know the that the Camaro is still Alive with just see the amount of sales between the 5th Gen a 6th Gen

The GT350R nor the Hellcat could beat the ZL1 in a straight line or around a track and the ZL1 was the cheapest (MSRP) and the only one of them that never had markups.

So now the ZL1 has been on top since 2017 MY, it will take this new Redeye from Dodge to beat it in a quarter mile and that is if FCA throws a decent tire on it and if it can put that power to the ground effectively.

So that is what I mean. It basically will have taken Dodge 2 MYs to beat the ZL1 in a straight line provided it meets the aforementioned criteria. And it will have taken Ford 3 MYs to beat them and even then the ZL1 won't be the worst at everything. So it basically is taking a lot of time and everything to be throw at the ZL1 and even then it still will be a very capable car and will still be much cheaper than these other two.
I agree with bhobbs, I think your drinking the kool-aid... Chevy choose to go track with the Gen 6 car, Hellcat can still take a ZL1 in the 1/4. Dodge is not playing catch-up, they are on the offensive. ZL1 is not their target, with “only” 650hp they aren’t concerned. Dodge came out with the 797hp Redeye to reclaim the top horsepower spot from the 755hp ZR1

ZL1 isn’t cheaper either, last I saw they start around $63k where the Hellcat is now $58k and Redeye is $69k. Ford is the one caught with the tail between their legs.

Dodge is playing the only card they can and it’s the same one they used in 2015 on the exact same car. Ford and Chevy will be coming out with gen7 soon so Dodge dropped more power into a car that already can’t handle what it has.

Chevy made a quantum leap in 2016 with the Alpha Camaro. It took Ford two years to narrow the gap with the GT, going on five years since last GT500 and Dodge isn’t even in the same conversation. The SS, 1LE, ZL1 and ZL1 1LE are three dimensional, world class. Dodge isn’t in the same sandbox.
