My original battery failed last year. Replaced it with OEM AC Delco. From my sources, it was only $18 higher than parts stores' batteries.

Battery replacement

Is it crazy that with this really cold weather we have been having recently in NJ, my battery is starting to go? It was the original one that came with the car back in 2010 when I bought it but haven’t had any issues until a few days ago. Guess it’s time! It’s my daily driver too!

I just replaced my OEM battery this past monday . 7 years for the original battery is really good .

Anyone know what the charging range is for the battery. My old battery was charging at 14.4v's the new on is charging at 15.3.

That's okay. I see that on mine sometimes. More often when the HVAC fan is on high, lights, rear defroster...
It might also be topping off the battery if it's been on the shelf for a while.
You should have ~13.2V when the key is on, car not running, no accessories.

In vehicles with batteries in the trunk or in the passenger compartment, batteries seem to last longer. I believe that shelter from the heat in the engine compartment helps.

Good to hear I still have my original 2012 battery. 25 degrees this morning started straight up and it had been sitting for almost a week.

My 2010 is 10 years old next month. OEM battery finally gave up. Car only has 22k and sits for long periods of time with no trickle charge. Super impressed!

My build date is 2009 on my 2010 SS.

Up to 2017, it mostly sat garaged with no battery tender and only had 16k miles on the clock.

Now it gets driven more and has 51k miles.

It's just now showing signs of getting weak.

It's starting slower and on crank, stability link flashed yesterday.

AC on, radiator fans are running slower than normal causing the engine to get hot sitting in traffic.

But...

Very impressed with the life of the OEM battery and will replace with another GM battery,

where are you buying the OEM batteries ? I imagine if I go to the local dealer it will be quite expensive

A battery is a battery. I don't expect there to be much difference from one brand to another... as long as it does the job.
A battery is a battery sorry but you are wrong my friend they are not there is alot of difference.

Still on my original battery....car build date is 4/15/2009, so it's over 10 years old. Only 66k miles, but it's a daily driver here in Colorado. Probably the lower temperatures and low humidity help, but I'm super impressed with it. Starts right up, and is still pretty strong. Will probably replace it with a AC Delco when it finally does go bad.
