Unhappy smashed in the front end...

Y'all probably know the feeling. I slipped up, lost traction and hit a guard rail doing maybe 45. No injuries, no ticket, no airbag deploy, and she still ran, but the grill, lights, hood, and quarter panels took a beating.
Looks like it either popped a hose off the radiator or maybe punctured the core, not sure. Had to have her towed. The motor and other parts look alright,(s/c and intake) but it's hard to tell. Geico insurance has been pretty helpful so far.
Ill know more monday

These stories are always tragic, and to the masses should be sighted as a lesson to all that it can happen to anybody.

Glad you are OK, and you are right it does not take much to "slip up." You took responsibilty for it, and for that I salute you.

You know the drill,

pics will follow after I get them from my buddy(his phone has a flash) who was with me and luckily not injured as well. both of us were wearing our seatbelts btw. The Camaro is without a doubt a stable car, but it's only as good as the driver

Havnt received word from the adjustor yet about the damage assessment. After doing some research I am worried about them actually saying the car is "totalled" which would suck due to the aftermarket parts on the car. Has anyone ever had any luck getting aftermarket parts off the car after it was labeled a total loss?

Has the maggie tvs 2300, cold air inductions CAI, hurst short throw, and dynatech headers.

No, and I can honestly say that I was being dumb, saw a clear straight road, hit the gas, fish tailed and didn't correct properly. I'm happy too that no one was injured.

I had a lady total my Hyundai Genesis that I had over 6K into. all I got were the rims off of it. I had to have my lawyer try to get the money I paid for the parts, and I still didnt get all of the money back. This just happened not too long ago also. So sorry to say, but I think you will be SOL.

And btw, you car will not be totaled. Trust me. It takes a LOT to total a car out...especially a new car..
