A great new vehicle financing rate from my car insurance company?(and a chevy rebate)

So I emailed my farm bureau agent, who already have my homeowner's insurance to get a quote on car insurance for a new 2012 SS, and he said btw we finance at 2.9% and we have a $500 cash rebate for buying a Chevy if u are a Farm Bureau member.

The special offer from GM is currently 3.9% on Camaros according to their website.

So if you have farm bureau or not look around for better rates even if you are getting a good one.

I had no idea Farm Bureau even had a loan department.

May even be able to refinance to a better rate as well like this.

Just FYI

Yeah, im glad I talked to him first, I thought 3.9% was about the best I could get.

And the 500$ can instantly go to mods lol

Right now there are lots of banks that will give you a rate around that such as USAA, and Capital One. However, the $500 cash back is a very nice perk!

Ally is 2.84 for me, but they are kind of flakey IMO. My local credit union offered a 2.5 for me, but then backed out.

Where did you see the 3.9% apr on the Chevy site? I see it for the 2011 models, but there is nothing there for 2012.

I only saw it for 2011, I assume it would be there for 2012 soon, or by the time I went to buy one in a few months. 2012 just said "contact your dealer"

Thats because its not a camaro, sports cars dont get as good of rates as an altima or something.

Yeah, ive since seen a slightly better rate at Chase, but may be harder to qualify for some people

Local credit union offered me 2.99. Chase beat it during vehicle purchase at 2.39. I know some have done better but I was pleased. I also used $1,000 from the GM Card.

Just checked with USAA today and on a 36 mo. loan with good credit they were 1.79%.

Plus the $750 incentive for buying a Camaro that comes off th price you pay.
