Does this make anyone else NERVOUS?

Or is it just us?

Shipping your baby is nerve wrecking! We had some haulers cancel on us last minute, so the only company we could find with a 20 hour pickup notice for 3 vehicles was an open carrier.

If the cars aren't secured properly, this will make you a little more than nervous when you take them off the carrier.

The blue wheels on the car in the upper left make me nervous.

How far are you going? Also how many times have you seen car transports on the highway with new cars coming to dealerships?
The only thing that is of concern is the dust and dirt that impacts the car when it is in an open container (paint chip, window impacts). However, for the most part when I had my truck transported from Minnasota, it was on an open transport. It was new and there was no damage.

So I think it should be okay.

I've shipped a camaro from Texas to New York on an open carrier. Yea I was nervous for sure, but I just watched them load and unload and they took care of my car. It was a little dirty when in got up north but that is expected with an open car carrier.

Short trip, from NY to Vegas A cannonball run sounded more fun, but we ran out of time. Plus it already started snowing here

although the hauler itself is a little worse for wear.....but is the company BONDED? and what type of rep so they have? My uncle was a driver for the transport company that hauled NEW P/U's out of the Chevy/GMC truck plant in St. Louis.....he told me that they never lost a single truck in his 35 years.

That move has bad news written all over it. Dont know why, but I have come to expect bad things when you ship open carrier.

Spend the extra money and go enclosed or I am sure you will regret it. Especially being on the bottom - all the sh*t from the upper cars will be dripping all over yours.
