Is the MRT V1 the a good route to go?

I know that there are tons of threads about this, but I am getting a new exhaust for my v6 on black friday, and am leaning towards going with the MRT V1, and wanted to get some thoughts? I have never heard either the V2 or the V1 in person, but have watched tons of YouTube videos, and I feel like the the V2 just doesn't make a large enough difference, but I am a bit worried that the V1 will sound a bit like a ricer. I want loud, but not obnoxious. For those of you who have heard them in person, what do you think? V1 or V2?

I love my V2. It's loud when I want it to be and quiet when I want that as well. I've never heard the V1 in person, but from what I was told is, it is always loud and all kinds of drone.

The V1 is quite a bit more aggressive than the V2.I prefer the sound of the V2 personally, but the V1 is not bad if you add a resonated X pipe.

Just an FYI, we are running our black Friday specials all month long. Feel free to call, PM or email me for a quote.

Best regards,

My Vote is V1.... Before i added headers it didn't drone and wasn't always loud, just when you open it up.

I have heard both. Spoke with the original tester of these and he will tell you, that the V1 is louder and more drone.

The V2 is a favorite as it is plenty loud and less drone.

I love mine as most of the owners do.

you won't go wrong with either, but more go with the V2.

Thanks guys for all the input, I'm still leaning towards the V1 but I'll have to do some more research before pulling the trigger

The v1 is louder, raspier, and has more drone than the v2. In person the v2 is very noticeable and, in my opinion, the deeper tone matches the car better.

I have the v1 on my car and love it to death. I don't really notice any drone while driving. I don't think it sounds like rice at all. However when you redline it, it is very loud- not really obnoxious, just louder than the v2. One thing I do like is that the v1 is louder at idle than the v2. If I spend $4-500 dollars on an exhaust, people better be able to somewhat hear me idle at a stoplight haha. Hope this helps!

V2 is louder than stock at idle and is pretty loud when you get on it.
I think it's just right.
Videos on YouTube just don't give you a good indication of the actual sound since recording equipment and playback equipment vary so much.
I have yet to hear a recording that sounds like my car in person.
Here is a short sample of mine.

I like my v1 with no rear cats and no resanaters. Drone is really person to person to me it's fine.
