Resonator for Kooks
I have Kooks headers and full exhaust. I have a drone around 1500-2000 RPM which is 70 MPH in 6th gear so it a problem.
I have heard that a resonator will solve it but I've also heard that the Kooks Resonator will not fit since there isn't a straight pipe long enough on the Camaro. Has anyone used a resonator from a different brand on a 5th Gen Camaro? thanks. Kooks has awesome sound and performance. if I can make that drone a little better they will be perfect. |

This is a resonator that I am thinking of going with that might solve my problem of Drone and AFM sound. It might work for your application. |

3.91 gears will shift the RPM range that you sit on the freeway and also take some load off the engine which reduces drone. They're also a great upgrade; something to consider.

Kooks full exhaust is notorious for drone. I didn't know kooks made a resonator. I doubt a resonator will take care of the drone but it will most definitely reduce it some. The only way I know of to get rid of the drone, without going with a different exhaust, is to add J pipes.
