You need to go to your dealer and tell them you want to order a car. You then sit down with either a sales person or the order specialist and spec out what you want. Then when you get your MSRP you start dealing just like the car was in stock. You plop down a deposit of anywhere from $250 to $500 usually sometimes it's refundable sometimes not if you decide to back out on the deal.
Then you wait for your car.
Any rebates or incentives will apply at the time the car arrives.

Back when I ordered my first Camaro many were having to pay up to $1000 deposit to order. I only had to pay $250, and they refunded that after I got laid off.
Most dealers ask for a good faith deposit, unless you have been a good customer or are good friends with the owner. Keeps people from just walking away if they change their mind without telling the dealer and then the dealer is stuck with a special ordered vehicle that may be hard to sell.

Gonna be heading up to my dealer on Friday to start the game on trading my current '12 Ragtop for the Green Flash. We will see what kind of BS I hear.

They MIGHT be hesitant to order a new color until the public reaction/buying trend figures are in.

I ordered the Bright Yellow color 2014 2SS in August 2014.

I bought through the USAA plan. You get a USAA $759 discount and out-the-door price quotes from dealerships in your area that work with USAA.

I took the best quote I got from a dealership about 25 miles away, to the LOCAL dealership that works with USAA. I said match the price and we'll sign paperwork.

The sales manager had to talk to his boss and then asked if I'm ready to buy that day. I replied I had a $5000 check in my pocket to get the ball rolling. I signed the paperwork and the trim/options I wanted were on the worksheet. The price I wanted was met.

FYI
The dealership I used was AutoNation and they are nationwide. I had them install the window tint and got a lifetime guarantee. Even the rear window defroster cannot hurt the tint. If it bubbles, I get new tint.

The young salesman was on the ball and handed me the front plate mount. He said he'd have the holes drilled and the mount installed ONLY with my approval. NO HOLES YET!

My dads friend owns a chevy dealer so I have been trying to get them to get me some info on this car. Two weeks now and they still haven't been able to find out what this car is going to cost or exactly when they will be here.

Are there any Canadian allocations and/or ability to order through an Ontario dealership?

Perhaps Mike Judge may have some insight into this.

Thx!
