Thanks Mike. I need to get some new pics already. They are moving pretty quick now. They had all the siding and roof done when I was out there last Thursday. It won't be long now...

Car shop side of the building facing south. The double bay dirty room is on the left and the clean bay is on the right. The area at the back is a wood shop and outdoor equipment storage.

This is the small side of the building. Rec. room with future rooms for the girls quilting machines and other junk.

The girls had to have a pool. I don't get this. There is a 1.5 acre pool in the background that filled up nicely over the winter.

Is there a purpose for dirt floors? Like livestock or just for woodworking etc.

It's just unreal how nice this turned out. Love the weather vanes on the roof.

They are just building it different. They are going to put the slab in last. All of the posts are anchored to concrete pillars that they buried. You can sort of see what I mean in a couple of the pictures. They'll pump in concrete sometime soon, then finish all the interior siding and overhead doors.

The weather vanes were my mom's idea. I have to admit I like them too. I'm afraid she is going to go nuts on landscaping and decorating though.

Ahhhh that makes sense.

Your mom has good taste... just let her run with it LOL. I know a guy who can get you big palm trees to go around the pool.

They'll have to be metal palms unless global warming kicks it into high gear. That reminds me of Florida.

We have floors, cabinets, appliances, and some electrical left to do.
Everyone should be done and out of the way by October 1st.

2 years and it's all come together. Didn't take long to get the car up on the lift either.

Yeah it has been a long time huh? It's kinda funny to go back and read the first posts about "the plan". For some reason over the last year I have always thought it was going to be done in a couple months. I guess you have to lie to yourself to keep chasing the carrot.
