We use a lockout block on ours. All of our shelf cams for these engines are designed to be used with VVT. We do offer custom cams for the more hardcore guys, but when you get into a larger cam than shelf stock, you are in the range that needs fly cutting or aftermarket pistons.

I have been rocking our stage 3 Polluter cam in my Camaro almost every day of the week since I put it in. It drives pretty well for a large cam. But I've also owned and driven 15,875 or so cars with big cams
