'T' Handle Options?

The only thing I don't like about my Green Flash is the dinky shift knob. Where could I get a 'T' handle to replace it with that fits? And how does the stock knob come off on a '15?

Kinda like the old Hurst 'T' handles.

I don't know if you are old enough to have ever had a original T-handle, but let me tell you that the handle will be hot as hell in summer and cold as ice in the winter. I think they are cool too, but I have had the pleasure/displeasure of having one in the past. It is a love/hate kind of accessory, love the look and feel and hate the thermal.

I ran one on the stock shifter

biggest problem is theading the shifter to fit the adapter

Handle is 16x1.5 and there is no 14mm adapter, probably because it doesn't leave much material to work with

I used a smaller adapter, put it in the handle and drilled and tapped it to 14x1.5

then i threaded the the stock shaft to 14x1.5

LOL Yes, I'm old enough........ I had a '65 Impala SS back in the day with a T Handle.....actually it was gold felt to match the color of my car so I didn't have to worry about the heat. I have no clue if they even exist today, that was back in the 70's.

The Green Flash has a factory short-throw performance shifter, but it isn't a Hurst, that isn't an option any more.

Nah, I don't care for the look of that plastic shifter. There's gotta be something out there.....

My L99 coded LS3 1LE has the retro interior, and it came with the 'T' handle.

I had a black felt T Handle in my 73 Z/28. Much better than the old T Handle... until the felt wore off. You are right.. either too hot or too cold.

Here's the Hurst T handle on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Hurst-1530020-...FK2A97T9QW6TE3 Sounds like it's a PITA to install per CamaroCracka tho...
