Q: how do you insure cars like this? I mean it's obvious all over that it's modified. If it's in a crash, what do assessors do? Anyone know the answers? Thanks!

Totally agree! Callaway Chris: If the gorgeous CF ground effects aren't available, why show them on this package's webpage and literature? This ended my Callaway love. But very happy with my final decision. Must say, Callaway pursuit was fun while it lasted. Thanks anyway Chris.

However: Callaway's a good company, you have a warranty, resale value, and blowers make everybody happy! NICE RIDE

No worries - The carbon fiber is shown, because it is available in limited constraint. The first cars to get it, were the Hendrick Motorsports Camaros. From there, tooling was brought into the United States - to Corona, CA, where the parts will now be made @ Callaway Cars West.

Previously, the parts were made in Germany @ Callaway Competition.

The ONLY way we can manage quality and cost, is to make the parts ourselves - either location would work however, with demand high, making parts stateside, eliminates the length it took to ship components.

You can't rush quality

You are SOL...in actuallity you are smart to not even tell them. My dads insurance specifically asked if his car was modified. My step mother said no and then asked what if it was. Their response... Well then we could not carry you or insure the car! So she said nope, its stock. It isnt, unless you call a 480 rwhp mustang stock... hahaha.

My ins guy is my uncle so no worries here.

Not sure what you were hoping for however, here is what I posted elsewhere...

I believe the Callaway is an incomparable buy in the seemingly crowed Camaro marketplace

Starting with its SAE rated 572 hp, Callaway engineered a powerful package - but power is only part of the story.

Emissions compliant in ALL 50 states, unparalleled drivability characteristics, and some pretty cool options which allow a buyer to go stealth-like, or flaunt their power

In addition to the items above, the Callaway 3/36 Powertrain warranty is another exclusive. No other comes close!

With international support, Callaway Camaros look to be one of the best automotive buys available

Many traditional insurance underwriters will have agreed value policies in their portfolio. I know several Callaway Corvette owners who use State Farm and the likes.

There is also collector car policies through specialty companies - if it is not your ONLY car, something like this might work - and with VERY favorable rates!
