while it was great being there... for some reason i enjoy being able to see more than one section of the track at a time on tv better.

personally rooting for the flying lizards myself.

am i the only one disappointed to not see a single corvette out there?

Awesome race!!

Ganassi 1,2.

Flying Lizard car caught fire in the 23rd hr.

#57 kept the car going till the end, but going to the garage last night put them too many laps down.

@lil_chef, did they have large track side tvs? (the ones that pop out of the top of the semi trailers)

I'm thinking about going next year. For the past four years I've been going down to St. Pete to watch Indy road racing. Now my brother lives in St. Augustine. I priced tickets and they don't look bad at all.

Did you camp/rv or stay at a hotel/motel?

I am still proud of the #57 Stevenson Camaro team for persevering through adversity, and never giving up...they had a respectable 12th place finish...not too bad, considering all the time in the garage...

Before the car had problems, they were the car to beat...

Better luck next race...

Congrats to Andy Lally and his TRG team for their 1st place finish in the GT Class...he had the pole, but had to start from the back of the field because of a 'slight' measurement problem with the wing...

Soooo, he went from the back to the front and WON THE RACE!!!...

Andy Lally is originally from Long Island, NY where I live, so I have a spot spot in my heart for him....

i didnt notice any tv's. People with RV's usually have their own TV's set up so they can get the best of both worlds

i live in jacksonville, only a 45 min drive from home so i just drive back and forth. ticket prices arent bad at all especially if you have either a military or college ID.

Cool!

Are you able to sit in the tall grandstands? On tv they appear empty. If so, can you see the entire race track from there?

Thanks!

you can stand on the grand stands all along start/finish. at the highest point you can see a very good majority of the track. i like sitting by the braking zones so i can watch the rotors glow .

it is also interesting to get a garage pass and watch teams work on the car should they have to do any major repairs.
