DIY FOR MY NEW GRILL SS EMBLEM MOUNT PAD

Thought I would put up my DIY of my new mount pad for the SS grill emblem. As it was was a quick fix before I wanted something cleaner and better. Before I just shaved down the two"straps" on the pad connecting it to the bracked behind the grill. These fit through the grill slats and tied behind the grill to hold it. looked o.k. but the emblem was loose and stuck out and away from the grill. This new method also gives a use for the plastic license plate mount that I wont need.
PIC 1. License plate
PIC 2. Cut 3/4" Min,up to 1" wide by emblem long rectangle.1" min so you can attach to two grill vanes.
PIC 3 Out of sequence but finished look on grill
PIC 4.Pad finished to size. Used exacto knife and cutters, then trimmed and sanded to make it nice and even.
PIC 5. Shows pad sprayed gloss black. Emblem is upside down showing 3m grey double sided tape to mount to pad.
PIC 6. emblem centered and attached to pad. put a strip of the 3m tape at the top and bottom og the pad, down the whole length, then carefully attch to tow of the horizotal vanes of the grill where you want.

Chicken wire I guess I haven't had a front plate forever, no need to start now! Besides only the bottom pc was used. Never no it was missing.

Thanks Jason. I always was on the dark side, strayed into the light there for awhile, to bright though! Had to come back! The other car was nice and liked it but didn't love it, if thats the word, and didn't feel quite me, Now its all better.

I dont think I'll be going for a third one though! But glad I got this one. Dont like seeing the oiling issues cropping up with the v6's. Especially since they are so far around the time mine was built. Dodged that one maybe!
