Ahh ok. That is manageable.. thanks
granted we lose the on the fly adjustments…

but not the worst thing. Also, I do realize this is a high priced toy and don’t buy it if you can’t afford to run it. Toys do break

In another thread a fellow shared that BW Mfg (OE supplier) has been contacted by GM to possibly undertake a resupply. Time will tell. My dealer shared a similar comment.

Yes toys do break, however I don't think people thought that something as mundane as shocks wouldn't be available, as seemingly these parts are shared with a few Cadillac cars?

Not a ZL1 but this is an option. I run these personally on my SS and they have great adjustability. they are also pretty budget friendly. I am not the only one running these so I am sure others can chime in on the ride quality aswell. If you are mostly just street and highway driving your car, these are probably your best option. Of course there are more expensive versions of coilovers, but most of them are designed with track use in mind. I believe phastek sells a magride plug that fools the system into thinking your mag ride is plugged in, so no trouble lights. But I am not 100% sure. I am just a lowly SS owner. Good luck! https://shop.bcracing-na.com/product...19701624537176

I echo the previous posts of "just enjoy the car" The rears are available right now. Buy a pair even if you don't need them. You can always re-sell them if you don't use them.

ADO-580-445

I got mine from Summit, but they only have one left https://www.summitracing.com/parts/ADO-580-445

My dealer was able to order them as well two weeks ago. Also, rockauto has then in stock right now as well. https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...t=7556&jsn=914

Almost all coil overs are adjustable, but that’s static vs. a mag strut adjusting itself 1000 times per min..

Check out Pedders XA Extreme coilovers. ~$1200 and an easy install if you have a few hand tools and jack stands. I have them on my car and they are far better than the stock mag ride IMO. 60 foot is way better at the drag strip too.

What I was wondering is it a matter of when not if. Ie do mag rides fail for most gen 5s and then we have to convert to air alternatives?

Are gen 6s better or would those experience same issue?

My new to me 13 zl1 with 26k miles is wonderful but now I am wondering how much more I will need to stick into if this is inevitable?
My 2013 ZL1 had around 35k on it when the rear mag shocks began to leak. You could feel a harsher ride from it to. I was set on replacing them with a low mileage set of rear mag shocks but ended up selling the car for my current 2014 ZL1 with 12k miles. I plan on purchasing new rears to have for reserve and finding a good set of used fronts as well. I really don't want to lose my mag ride one day, but if I did, I'd switch over to the Z28's suspension.

The MultiMatic shocks and springs for the 2014-15 Camaro Z/28 suffer from the same problem as the ZL1 magnetic shocks-no supply.

My rears were done yesterday and boy what a difference! The car rides so nice now. Hopefully the re-supply works out for the fronts
