I've thought about going to a setup like this but it looks like it blocks most of the oil pressure and volt gauges.

Yep that's the one issue that the scoshe kit has that the metro doesn't.

You all talking about the "gills" area between the door and the back wheel well? I had mine protected with the Xpel Xtreme paint protection. No problems there.

It's actually not as bad as it looks when you are sitting in the car. But it's also not really an issue for me since I rarely look at the gauges normally. I only check them every once in a while. But for someone who uses them a lot, I could definitely see it being a reason not to get it.

It was pretty hard to find the Alpine version of the scosche kit. In my opinion it looks better than the normal scosche kit. Both are good, but I like how the Alpine kit curves with the head unit and the silver matches the rest of the dash.

I look at the oil pressure gauge quite often but that's something I've done since I started driving my Dad would always tell me to pay attention to the gauges and I can still hear him in my head.

Here's the unit I had in my 09 smart car it would solve the small clock problem you have with your current unit. Unfortunately it's no longer available.

Is anyone wanting to take a trip down to Augusta this weekend for an all Camaro show? If you think you might, let me know.

Well, I dropped off the Camaro and left it at Spartan Performance for Josh to work his magic. Getting cammed and udp installed this week. Afterwards, gonna fix some cosmetic things I didn't do to great with.

Can't wait to hear the lope and feel the power.

Yes, the gill area. I am going to do the protective film. I just need to figure out what to do about the paint first. Looks like someone hit it with a sand blaster....

I'm in the same boat! I know quite a few retailers that have used the Langka paint chip system and works great. I personally haven't tried it, but thinking I may just have to. Looks like crap the way it is!

How many miles do you have on yours?
