-- in terms of the color discussion:

"Red Hot" replaces Rally Red - it's a bright red -- more 'pure' if you will - more like Torch Red on Corvette - whereas Rally Red is a bit more 'orange'

Red Rock Metallic is a very 'bronze' color -

Tail lights and license plate indentation are awful. Totally ruined the rear end of the car. I could probably live with the tail lights, but what gives with the giant space of the license plate? YUCK!

I'm not 100% on the rears and I wish the rear quarter light was removed but I like the front and the recaros so my order is placed and waiting for 8/12 for my build week! Can't wait to see what is in store for the 6th gen and the 50th anniversary model.

they're pretty much direct replacements.

Rally Yellow -> Bright Yellow
Victory Red -> Red Rock Metallic
Inferno Ornage -> Red Hot (as you said bronzey organish red)

Inferno orange looks red most of the time too.

Cool.

I know I saw the color of the New York show car as Red Hot on some web site.
If it's RRM, that color is my favorite.
Looks like it is very close to the Cayenne Red Metallic my '97 Z-28 was.
Very sharp.
Can't wait to see one.

That was RRM. Red Hot is exactly as its name states Very Very Red.

Seems like it loses some of that retro look. Maybe they will look better in person. The pic of the Red SS is nice though....sans the black plastic insert in the middle of the hood. Still like the Heritage grill the best...some day!

If newly designed Camaros' are coming in 2015 why do this? It seems with the current 2013 ZL1, 1LE and Hot Wheels edition Camaros' there was enough there to keep the lineup fresh until the 2015's gets here. The current 2010-2013 design is timeless in my opinion. This 2014 not an improvement. Maybe they did this to move the rest of the 13's remaining on lots for 2015.

I think GM will move Camaro production to Michigan for a year or two before the 6th rev comes out. Think about it: they will get sales off the 50th anniversary car akin to the Corvette keeping its look until the 60th anniversary edition was over, which is of course the 2014 Stingray, hot car, but stole Camaro's taillights. This will also give GM time to tool up the factory and hopefully get their quality to where Oshawa's was/is, if not better.

Same with the new Chevy Trucks. They are practically giving the 2013's away to move them and they are a steal because the new Silverado is hideous in MY opinion.
So it makes more sense for a company to redesign an entire vehicle and have a whole model year's worth of "hideous" cars that no one wants just so dealer's can sell a few left over 2013's? Ignoring the fact that dealership's aren't owned by Chevrolet but by individuals.

Just doesn't make sense IMO

2 problems with your statement. The general consensus around here feels that the sixth gen won't show until 2015 as a 2016 model year. Also your opinions on the looks of the 2014 Camaro and Silverado are just that, opinions. I think both look great and are improved over the previous model year.
