Not scratches what is this?
I thought I had what looked like 2 thin scratches about 2 feet long but it's smearing with bug and tar remover, I suspected it was some kind of bug slime or something but the bug and tar remover is only smearing it wider and not getting it off, any suggestions?

Not sure about tree sap but it's a thought, it's dark here I'll get pictures up tomorrow, but it started out real thin I don't think it's tree sap I was thinking some kind of bug slime trail but you would think the bug and tar would work on that

Ditto. I cannot for the life of me understand why people don't post pictures for threads like this.

It's a slug.
Slug slime is a mucous. It's comparable to albumin/egg whites.

Guys I'm sorry, I tried to take pictures, but my black camaro is so reflective it just didn't show up hardly at all in the pictures, the one below is the best I can do. Its like taking a picture of a mirror that close. I do have an update, it does appear to be some type of bug slime, the bug and tar remover is almost working, looking at it this morning from working on it last night, they are almost gone, still some smears, but its about 80% gone.
Do you think I should just keep using the bug and tar? I may go ahead and get the goo be gone stuff as well. The picture below you can barely see the smear now, but you see what I mean how reflective it is LOL.

I'm a little apprehensive about this product, is it OK to put on car paint? Have you tried it before? Its no doubt similar, because this stuff is hard to get out for sure, I would think adhesive remover would be pretty good if it didn't damage the paint or clear coat itself.
