I am #3. 1 & 2 were picked for March build/submission. Is there a chance both 1&2 would be taken for submission in the March 12-14 period (I'll call my dealer for this info). If so, mine could be submitted in the March 19-21 period?

Yes they will, he just didn't go back far enough in listing dates. There were orders pulled in Feb, mine included, that will be built this month.

Well, I do feel a little better. Let me see if I got this correct. If I have an april build, at the earliest, I could hear about it this week (March 12-14). Or later if it's going to be built later in april. Being the first one on the april concensus, I would think I would be an early build (as far as the others at my dealership goes at least.)

My only reall worry is, does the dealer have to actually enter his weekly submissions by hand, or does the system automaticly take the orders in the priority the dealer has them in?

Only my dealer can answer the rest I quess.

So they will make as many as they can each week. And each week, they will some methodology (only slightly less complex than decoding the human genome) to distribute those cars to the various dealers. The part that you care about is that if you pre-ordered there is a good chance that you will have your car by summer. And if we weren't such fanatics and if this was any other car, you wouldn't even know that this crap (consensus, allocations, etc) existed, cause you would just go to the dealer and buy a car off the lot.

Now I'm even more confused....concensus?....allocation?....methodolo gy?....human genome?....oy vay!!! I think I just may be with Pink at the Toyota dealer any day now. That Yaris is really sportie, don't you think?



P.S. - The genome decoding was a perfect analogy.
