What ever company you choose make sure your dealing with the carrier not a broker.
Brokers sub the load to the lowest bidder. If you have damages your contract is with the broker, not the carrier. Getting reimbursed can be difficult. You file a claim against the broker, they file against the carrier. I have known of brokers collecting on claims and not passing it to the customer or only paying partial.

Are there any companies that don't broker who have very quick pickup? I was quoted up to two weeks for a 5.5 hr trip PA to MA. Wtf?

"Thank you so much for the inquiry but unfortunately this is not a route that we would travel. We primarily run coast to coast so I just wouldn’t be able to offer you good service or availability on the move." The route was from SEA to PHX. |

Not a large company, but Uncle Dave's Hotshot Express, one man band with an enclosed 2-car trailer. 270-217-1513

I've used Intercity Lines and they were top notch, the big auctions you see on TV use them, they brought a car up from Louisiana to Connecticut for me.

Well, Current experience says do not use Ready Logistics.
Excuse after the other and the car still isn't on the trailer. It was paid for at the dealer last week. Was told Tues it would be picked up then Wed and so on. |

Hey Fellas, since I started this thread, I wanted to let you all know how it all turned out. I appreciate all the recommendations and advice you provided. I had good replies from each of the companies posted. but wanted to stay away from a broker and working around my available dates was difficult with many of them. It's a busy time for carriers and their schedules fill up fast! Ultimately I found Passport Transport. They have their own trucks and drivers and I was really impressed with their operation. They worked really hard to make the dates I needed to ship work and the enclosed transport truck itself was a thing of beauty: Two levels, lift gate, liner under the top level to prevent anything dripping on the lower. The Z loaded with ease and without having to reinstall the front spacers. PA to AL in 2 1/2 days and both cars (ZL1 and XTS) were delivered without a scratch. Passport wasn't the cheapest nor the most expensive, but provided first class service at a fair price.
