3 time slips below with not much useful information.

1st pass after spinning at the launch and twice more before it hooked, I took it to the 1000' mark on accident but didnt have any issues stopping thankfully.

2nd pass was similar but I only went to the 1/8th mile marker

After the second pass I reduced the compression & rebound quite a bit from where it was when I was at Tulsa last year.

3rd pass - It certainly hooked better on this pass until it made the 2-3 shift and the rear end started drifting. The 330' time was 3 tenths faster than the 2nd pass was, so it was certainly on a better (not great) pass.

Looking to go again this weekend if the weather and everything else cooperates. Only thing I need to do to the car is pull the passenger seat back out. I put it back in on Sunday since it was supposed to be sunny some this week and had planned to drive it to work.. nope, its rained/stormed everyday so far...

Installed a button so I can use the launch rev limiter functionality in the Holley ECU (MSD 2-Step function). This will also allow me to retard the timing at launch to help with traction as well.

So just watching the weather for the weekend and go where its least likely to rain.. lol

That's awesome! Now it's time to drop in a TH400 and make magic!

To be honest, The Holley ECU is the way to go for adding "Functions".
Don't know if I could justify the expense of the gateway, but if I ever go and build a track car, I'd ditch the the stock ECU in a heartbeat.

Good luck on the weather holding out! Tuned in for updates

Brian

I am very close to ordering the T400! TBH I wasn't too pleased with the cost of the gateway but after having it for a bit now, it was well worth it to be able to add the Holley with the GM CAN network.

Had a pretty good night at Centerville Dragway last night. Made 8 or 9 passes and after making some shock adjustments was finally able to get down the track. No PB's but thats ok. Just really happy to make some clean hits.

Will load pics of the time slips and a few videos my buddy took after while.

My apologies for the delay in getting things posted. Lots of bad weather in our area, a few tornados, lots of destruction in towns close by unfortunately. Thankfully, my house and the area we live in are all good. We were without power for about 3 hours Sunday morning and then 17 hours Sunday afternoon through late Monday morning.

I will try to get things posted later today if this new pop up storm doesn't knock the power out again..

Saturday I went back to Centerville again. This week it was just a test-n-tune and not a ton of cars showed up. That made for it nice as there never was much waiting to make a pass or anything and was able to make 11 passes.

Unloaded and ready to rip

My buddy Daniel looking at video of the first & second pass -

To start out the launch control (LC) was set to 2500rpm and launch retard (LR) taking 6 degrees out for 1.8 seconds.

Pass 1 – The car wouldn’t hold 2500rpm and rolled through the staging lights twice trying to get it to hold.

So I lowered the LC to 2000rpm and it worked fine after that. I probably should have tried something in the middle tho..

Pass 2 – Spun 6.95 w/1.83 60’

Pass 3 - Spun 7.98 w/2.15 60’.

After watching videos I tightened up the rear shock rebound by 2 clicks.

Pass 4 - 6.343 w/1.497 60’. That’s .18 slower than the best pass (6.14) and .05 from the best 60’ (1.44)! I will call that Progress!! Lol

Pass 5 - 6.71 and I think I was slow on releasing the LC button on that one.

Pass 6 - Tried a 1st gear launch and it spun which isnt surprising.

Pass 7 – back to 2nd gear launch and a 6.41 w/1.54 60’. So the LR needs some adjustment for 1st gear launches which isnt surprising..

Pass 8 – 2nd gear, was slow on the LC release but still went 6.509 w/1.57 60’

Pass 9 / first round FB bracket – Good light (.0384) but I was slow on releasing the LC and went 6.69 w/1.65 60’.
Lost that by .0016. I caught the truck and eased out of it when I should have just stayed in it and taken the light.. My reaction times have been terrible and I was hoping to the other guy would break out but that didnt happen.

Pass 10 / $10 buy back – red lit – 6.70 w/1.64 60’. Pretty sure I was releasing the brake too early.

Pass 11 – tried 1st gear again and spun – 1.74 60’ and I just cruised through the pass.

I havent worked on reaction times at all since the car has been spinning so much. Now I can take some time and work on reaction times and also work on 1st gear launches. I need to also mess with the LR as well. More seat time is needed for sure. Its harder than I expected to coordinate letting off the brake pedal and releasing the LC.. Really looking forward to a T400, trans brake & much looser converter... lol

Will probably go again next weekend as it's supposed to rain more this weekend.

Will do and you do the same! Y'all have had your share as well!

I tried first gear twice this weekend. Other than that it's all been second gear launches.

I agree, trans/brake/converter with lockup would see huge gains in your car.

In the mean time, any chance you could tie in a Roll Control valve to control the launch? Hold the solenoid with a button and release with an output on the Holley with WOT (or something else)?
