Yeah, I may look at doing that. I will have to look and see if the Roll Control is on a + or - trigger. The LC and LR are on a - trigger.

Planning to head back to Centerville this weekend.

If you can get it to launch and stick in first gear, my hat off too you sir! At your power level and the 6l80 gear ratios, second gear seems to be the hot ticket. Keep on moving forward! Love reading the progress on your build.

Yep. So holding off on the track until the T400 goes in. Going to get it ordered on Monday.

Welp, been able to drive the car some this week

I have the shifter & crossmember on hand, the trans brake harness from Holley has been ordered and I will get the trans ordered on Monday. Will get with Ben/Kevin@ GPI to get the converter ordered as well. I will still drive it until I am ready to swap it or the trans leaves the chat... lol

Follow up - I did discover that the trans was a bit low and topping it off did stop the chatter. So all good but still moving forward with the tT400 swap.

Been pretty busy with life and other stuff the last couple of weeks. Anyways. last weekend I got the Holley Pro Dash installed.

I drove it last night for the first time since putting it in and am digging it! I kinda thought I would loose the HUD when the factory cluster being removed but it still works. Whats odd is that the speedo doesnt work in the HUD but the tach and turn signal indicators still work. Thankfully the Holley has a GPS speedometer so it's using that. Now I just need to figure out the scaling for the fuel gauge in the Holley eco. The Holley is showing a full tank but I was able to put in 17 gallons of e85 last night.. lol..

The dash bezel is from Classic Dash and specifically for the 5th gens using the Holley 6.86 Pro Dash. Um, yeah its not a good piece but will have to work for now... Fit is crap, the screen angles down towards the floor a bit and is bit lower on the left side than the right side. ugh.. The instructions say some trimming might be needed to get it to fit flush.. I dont think there is enough material to trim it enough.. Not that I expected perfection with this piece, its certainly not what I expected for $250. Holley has thier version but I am almost certain it comes from the same place and cost is about $100 more.

A few weeks back I called several transmission places and and talked through some options for my needs. I ended up going with Rossler Transmissions. Ordered a turbo 400 Terminator 4 with Reid SFI case, bell housing & roller bearing tail shaft housing. It has the Rossler billet aluminum internal trans brake, Rossler overflow tank and deep cast aluminum pan. They said it might take 4-6 weeks with a GM transmission case but with the Reid it would probably be sooner. Got it ordered and it arrived in just 2 weeks!!

Circle D converter has been ordered from GPI and still about 2 weeks out based on ETA. I have all the other parts except for a driveshaft, so I'll probably start the swap while waiting so I can get the measurements for the driveshaft. There is a local driveshaft shop I am going to call and see if they can do something or will get with Gulf Coast and get one made.

That transmission is very nice! What are you going to do for a shifter?

The dash looks great with the big Holley screen, agreed the fit and finish of the bezel is not great.

Great work as always!

Thank you! I have the Motion Raceworks Operator shifter for reverse manual clean neutral VB. It has Co2 actuator for the track.

While waiting on the converter I have a small list of things to fix/check on. One was a pesky oil leak somewhere around the oil filter. The actual drips were running down the oil filter and driving me nuts. With the header and trans in I really couldn't find the source and was just assuming it was the oil filter block that bolts to the oil pan. It was either that or for some reason the filter wasn't sealing.. Anyways, got it figured out. The oil filter block has a provision for adding a supply line for turbo's etc and it was leaking around that plug.

Here is the side with the block-pan-filter. Can see the green oil and it would go to the rear and drip down the filter.

Oil around the plug - and what looks to be leftover pollen from spring.. lol

Will pull the plug and get some sealant on that plug.

Measured for the driveshaft and got it ordered. The measurements needed for this were from the trans seal to the diff flange. It is 56 5/8".

I had emailed Gulf Coast a few weeks back and they are able to make one for me. I also had been looking around at other options. Looks like most shops use the same components from Sonax to build these shafts.

I ended up going with Wiles Racing Driveshafts out of TN. He said he would get started on the shaft yesterday and it would be done and shipped by Tuesday. Gulf Coast was a 2 week wait otherwise I would have just ordered from them again. Anyways, it's a 3.5" aluminum with a billet yoke for roller bearing tail shaft.
