I might have missed it in one of the posts, but what type of brake lines are you using?

A few photos from this weekend's race at Chuckwalla that left us on the side of the track on Saturday with a cracked piston, bent valve and in need of new heads.... More info to come....But we will be ready for the March Race at Willow Springs.

Great pictures! Love to see the kids involved, and cooking, wow.

So sorry to hear about the mechanical. I'd be curious as to the root cause if it can be determined.

Good luck with the repairs

Yeah I brought the boy scout troop out since I am a boy scout leader and we had a blast. the motor has 2 years of racing and 100+ hours. Makes sense.

Wow, what a build!
What are you using in the front strut towers? OEM bushings or a camber plate?
If it's camber plates, which ones?
Thanx.

Officially welcoming QuarterMaster clutches as part of the Fusion of Ideas Motorsports team. We are going to run their optimum RR twin disc clutch. This weighs in more than 45 lbs below the OEM clutch. This is obviously huge for unsprung weight, quicker rev and better shifts. The product is engineered exceptionally well and I can’t wait to run this with the new motor. #quartermaster #clutch #becauseracecar

Are you also going to run a lightweight flywheel?

The QuarterMaster Optimum RR comes with a super lightweight flywheel. I’ll be posting the overall weight comparison shortly.

QuarterMaster Optimum RR Performance Clutch

12 lbs vs 57 lbs....a massive 45 lb difference between the @quartermaster Optimum RR twin disc clutch with flywheel compared to the OEM clutch and flywheel. Massive weight difference. I’ve heard different comparisons but I believe every pound of unsprung weight is compared to 3 lbs of spring weight so if that calculation is accurate this clutch is the equivalent of cutting 135 pounds of sprung weight. The #Quartermasterclutch will allow for faster rev’s of the motor and should also help increase corner exit and overall acceleration. Next we will be adding their carbon fiber driveshaft after the willow springs race. This modification will go down as one of the more significant for overall performance of the car.
