Hyundai has really turned around their company and the Genesis (Sedan and Coupe) are getting rave reviews.

I don't have any sort of badge loyalty. And the Genesis 380GT is looking better and better to me. The longer I wait on my Camaro, the wider the door to the Hyundai opens...

I've seen a few Genesis Coupes on the highway, I always catch myself doing a double take and catching another glimpse. Its a head-turner and a good effort on Hyundai. I like it!

I can't tell you how many times in 2 days that people pull up to me and give a nod or a thumbs up. Or stop me in the parking lot to ask me about.

EVERYONE at the tint place today were telling me how much they like it. Again, it's bizarre, but the car looks MUCH better in person!

Thanks! It drives like a dream and the inside feels, dare I say it, luxurious. And the brown interior is MUCH darker than it is in photos. I'll get a pic of that later.

Oh, and I saw an ABM Camaro on the road last Thursday. It was heading the other direction so I couldn't get a good gander at it.

Looked great though!

It's crazy. I was just slogging through B'more taking the lady back to her place and this Lexus SC430 Convertible passes me. There's a car in front of me at the light and none in front of him, but he doesn't go all the way up to the light....

He was waiting on me to get up there! He's yelling at me but I have my windows up and I can't roll them down for another two days (tinting today) so I open the door.

Him: Is that a Honda?
Me: Hyundai!
Him: That thing is HOT!
His lady: That's nice!
Me: THANKS!!

A guy in a Lexus convertible goes out of his way to compliment a Hyundai. That must mean my Cubbies are gonna win the World Series this year!!

I'm 36 and I say it's MUCH better.

But I don't say that out of defensive insecurity. I don't get offended at the very THOUGHT that another car has a better feature than mine like some here seem to be doing.

Here she is after spending the morning detailing her.

I've sat in a Genesis coupe and so far have only been able to look at the Camaro interior through the windows (they didn't let anyone sit in the car). I think the interiors are on par with each other. I like a few details on the Genesis and a few on the Camaro so it's a wash.

For me the ambiguous styling of the Genesis exterior is the biggest drawback. If you come up on someone going too slow on the road and they see you coming in the mirror, NOBODY is going to get intimidated and pull over to let you by. You roll up on someone with the Camaro and they will either pull over to let you pass or pull over to change their shorts.

That's the biggest advantage of the Camaro in my opinion. Your opinion may vary.

I can't say it isn't a nice looking car, but where was it built? Will the people working on the production line ever be able to afford to buy one? Or any car for that matter, or a real home like what we live in? Or are they just "slave" labor? Who gets the profits? Who benefits from the profits? I can't for the life of me understand why someone would send their hard earned American dollars to Korea or Japan or anywhere overseas when American workers are struggling to keep their jobs and our economy is going down the tubes?!

Is anyone with me on this?

Have fun with it
