If we were talking super cars 458 wouldn't even be on the table for me, not because its not a nice car but just because its not the best. Best looking perhaps but that is a matter of opinion. I can see the Z/28 coming out and being a good competitor to the 458 believe it or not.

GTR THE FASTEST CAR you have ever seen from a standing stop
NO QUESTION!!
And after Nissan does their new z car watch out Price will be lower than most.
This thing is turbo'd up to the max.
So lets not go there comparing super-cars to lets face it muscle cars.

And furthermore what about the new 4 cylinder Corvette. Its going to shake that motor a little going down the highway from the design.
Get your Vette Now!!!
LT1 is it that good?
GT-R is the fastest car to 60 maybe, but after that its down hill, stock to stock a ZR1 is a faster 1/4 miles car, faster 1 mile car, faster track car. Hands down. I like the GT-R but the Z series is just plain aweful when it comes to anything other than for show, and maybe drifting. A stock SS puts a 370 to shame, just better everything and the SS has a back seat.

Love people like this, yup your right it's slower then most people think hahahaha. I'd take my 458 anyday over my camaro and while I don't drive it as much, let's just say I've been right there on the tails of ZR1s. Curious to know your exprience with a 458 or if you just bench race. I like getting out in it every once and awhile and hauling ass with some friends.

The bold is my point, Ferrari drivers don't track the car as much as I think it should be.
I even mentioned maybe its because people don't track them as much, the fact is its either slower than it should be or it doesn't get the track time it should. But its laptimes don't represent that of what I think the Ferrari name should It is slower than the ZR1 the Viper the MP4 the GT-R and the Aventador. I love the looks and I didn't say it was an aweful car, but i wouldn't be my first pick of super cars

and I am a college engineering student no shit I don't own one. But being the car that it is I think it should put a ZR1 to shame, and it doesn't.

You guys are out of your minds if you seriously think this tank can take down a Z06.

I think it'd have a good chance on a smaller track but not a chance on something like the nurburgring, it'd be hell of a lot harder

Was wondering if you guys think we will see any more, different track-tests, results, whatever, in the near future before the car is released...or is this one track, three-seconds better teaser all we'll see?....Thanks....

I agree... on a small technical track I think it will clearly outshine many others however on a lengthy high-speed circuit, those exotics beasts will still be a tough challenge for the Z/28 to significantly surpass. We'll see...

The same motor in a car about 800 pounds lighter and with Cup Tires and you think it has a chance? It really doesn't matter how long the track is, you can't make a car with the same power but an 800 pound weight disadvantage win.

It doesn't work from a bench racing standpoint and it certainly doesn't work from a corporate financial standpoint. There is no way Chevy is going to beat itself with a car that is that much cheaper.

Sorry, I know this is a Camaro site, but we gotta step into realityland a bit here folks.

your assumption is valid assuming that the Z07 package is on the Z06. what happens without it may be a different story. i think that it would be a good thing for chevy if the Z/28 could beat a stock no options Z06 but fall just short of beating a Z06 with the Z07 package
