Exhaust question
i have a question for the exhaust experts. every car Ive owned Ive put a exhaust kit on whether it be magnaflow, flowmaster, or roush. my question is would it be better to use a kit or go to a muffler shop and have one custom made?
thanks in advance Last edited by ElManny; 12-29-2008 at 11:58 PM. Reason: mispelled word |

I'm sure the aftermarket will be/is already there for the new Camaro. You'll be able to put whatever kit you want to put on the car to acheive the sound you desire.

i would say that the best bet would be to buy a kit from a company that spends time researching and testing their equipment, tailoring it to be an optimal system for that specific car.

Corsa does that, their exhaust sound great but are a little pricey

You can get a kit from a company but they never fit quite right if you do it yourself so i would take it to an exhaust shop with a good reputation

We had ppl come in all the time at the exhaust shop i worked at cause the couldnt tweak the systems that they bought that are suppose to bolt right up and the Magnaflow for my 69 camaro didnt fit that good if you want a personal experience. The fit good but the need to have a custom touch added to them to get them to fit perfect!!!

A lot of people want those measurements so they can start building kits. If it is not there by release, give it a little bit of time and they WILL have plenty of kits! |

Why wait get the GM offered one from day one, and they offer two different styles. If tradition holds true they usally farm this out to a reputable company. Borla, Corsa were a few that I have heard mentioned on the forums here.

Do you prefer blondes or brunettes? I need to know before I can give you an accurate answer.
