Green Monster

Hello!
Dave from San Diego, just starting this thread as a placeholder. I just bought my 2011 2SS a few weeks ago, so no mods yet. It came factory with the factory Hurst, and has a MBRP exhaust (Cat Back), but thats about it. The hood has been replaced and repainted very badly, so i am getting ready to get that done.
I haven't really gotten a solid plan together on the build yet, but here are some ideas
Short Term:
-Black Out all Chrome on exterior (rims and badges)
-Skip-Shift Delete
-DRL controller
-Rally Stripes
-Cold Air Intake
-Grill replace
-Tasteful Badging with Old School Emblems
-Hurst Short Throw (Possibly)
-Throttle body/spacer

Long Term:
-Long Tube Headers
-High Flow Cats
-Full Exhaust
-Mild Street Cam
-Intake
-Suspension Upgrades

I will have to go a little bit at a time, so "Short" and "Long" are relative terms. I am a Camaro freak, the SS being my 23rd that I have owned. Currently own it and a '69 RS that i am restoring in NC.
Anyways, Any suggestions on where to get started, LMK. I am doing the Wheels and badging this weekend. I'll start keeping a picture journal. In the Mean Time, Here is a picture of my 2LT (On the Left) That i traded for my 2SS (Right with Bow) I wanted to keep the V6 as a daily, but the numbers didn't pay off.
Great to be here, been lurking for a long time, figured it was time to jump in

1st Project Complete!

Well, as the title says, first weekend project in the books.
Decided to black out all the badging using Dupli-Color Custom Wrap (Plasti-Dip)
Came out awesome, especially for the first time working with it. Few lessons learned, but overall, I am satisfied with the end result, and thats what counts most, right. I was going to buy black lugs, but I actually dig the bow-tie and lugs popping out.
I like the look so much that I think I will end up getting the rims powdercoated. I am not the best painter, and there are some drips, and uneven surfaces. I want to see how long this lasts tho.
Few More ideas that I am tossing around as far as badging, I want to put black Camaro emblems with the 69 Camaro Script on the front bumper and interior.

Lastly, I havent decided if I should black out the SS on the Grill and Deck Lid. Thoughts?

Anyways, tell me what ya think, and as always suggestions always welcome!

Happy Sunday, Happy New Year!!

By Local, you mean SD or SoCal, because I would love to meet some Camaro folks in the area, for a nice drive, but I dont like to go near LA. Traffic with a 6 Speed is Garbage!!!

1st off, welcome! Congrats on the upgrade, as it were. It just so happens that I went through the same experience last spring. Traded my RJT 2LT for the SS you see pictured. Both are 2010’s. Same as you, finances didn’t allow to keep them both.
